The annual Qantas Spirit of Australia event was held on 8 January 2014 at Mr C. Hotel in Los Angeles where Australian singer Kylie Minogue performed four songs to more than 150 Australian guests. Kylie’s repertoire included Love at First Sight, Locomotion, Can’t Get You Out of My Head and I Still Call Australia Home.
Australian musician Keith Urban and Iva Davies, lead for Australian music legends Icehouse also performed prior to Kylie’s performance.
Amongst the guests included Qantas Ambassador John Travolta, Tina Arena, Russell Hitchcock, Sam Sparro, Robert Luketic, Phillip Noyce, Joel Edgerton, Jacki Weaver, Ursula Brookes, Gracie Otto, Matt Le Nevez, Daniel MacPherson, Zoe Ventoura, Osher Gunsberg, Jason Dundas, Laura Csortan, Tammin Sursok and Pip Edwards.
Qantas will be bringing Modern Family to Australia, whose co-creators Chris Lloyd and Steve Levitan as well as cast members Ty Burrell (Phil), Ariel Winter (Alex), Erci Stonestreet (Cam) and Nolan Gould (Luke) were present.
Qantas Spirit of Australia forms part of the G’Day USA calendar and is part of Qantas’ commitment to promoting Australia in the United States, and celebrates successful and talented Australians to a global audience.
