29 October 2011, Singapore – This Christmas, check out Singapore’s youngest cellist Brendan Goh as he will be launching his first CD ‘Brendan: A brand new day’ on 3 November 2011. Brendan has decided to donate all sales proceeds to The Business Times Budding Artists Fund so that other artistically gifted children like him can develop their talents in Singapore.
Brendan’s debut album is a family effort with his parents Dr. and Mrs Wilson Goh and his 10 year old sister fully supporting him.
Only twelve this year, Brendan has to balance his school work, play and also play all the right tunes for charity. You can expect Bach/Gounod’s Ave Maria, Beethoven’s Minuet in G and Rimsky Korsakov’s Flight of the Bumble Bee.
World renowned cellist Qin Li Wei who is also the head of the cell department at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Singapore the National University of Singapore supervised Brendan’s recording of the 17 soundtrack album. The album is priced at S$25 and will be available at Tanglewood Music School, all GPA Dental clinics, Synwin Music, Gramercy Music (Katong and Esplanade Mall).
