Singapore Design Week 2016 (SDW 2016) returns 8 to 20 March with more than 100 design events and activities. The third edition of SDW 2016 will feature local and international design trade shows, conferences, exhibitions and workshops at the National Design Centre and other locations in Singapore.

President’s Design Award 10th Anniversary Exhibition

Featuring all 125 recipients from 2006 to 2015, with 33 Design of the Year and 89 Design of the Year recipients, the multimedia exhibition will showcase the impact that these designers have made on the community and every day life over the last decade.

SDW Signature Event

This design conference for businesses and designers is themed ‘Innovation through Design’. It will encourage cross-disciplinary collaborations and allow businesses and designers to learn about how design can shape everyday living in the future economy.

Held at 99 Beach Road, this year’s theme for SingaPlural 2016 is ‘Senses – The Art and Science of Experiences’. It will showcase the best design elements – scent, texture, visual, sound and taste. SingaPlural 2016 is organised by the Singapore Furniture Industries Council and DesignS network of design associations.

This year ‘Thoughtful Design’ journeys will allow you to explore places, people and processes behind the thoughtful products and experiences in the Jalan Besar/Geylang and Joo Chiat areas.

 

Other events of Singapore Design Week 2016 include International Furniture Fair Singapore and MAISON&OBJET Asia. Learn the basics of designing and make things designed by them at the Design and Make Fair.
