Christofle Haute Orfèvrerie Exhibition
15 June 2012, Singapore – Christofle has flown in all the way from Paris a collection of limited edition hand-made Haute Orfèvrerie silver pieces worth almost S$800,000. The 12 numbered pieces are being displayed at the Christofle boutique at B1-200 Takashimaya till 24 June 2012. These impressive works by French designers Thierry Lebon and Karim Rashid, Italian architect Gio Ponti, American designer Allison Hawkes and others are limited from as low as S$7,130 to S$192,640 and are available by special order.
A personal favourite is the three-masted Sailing Boat (Voiler) by Darko Mladenovi which took more than 130 hours to execute. With only 50 pieces available worldwide, this piece of artwork costs S$132,860 each.
Thierry Lebon’s silver gilt oriental dragon inspires respect in the Chinese culture with only eight pieces in the world. It is priced at S$135,450 each. There is a Vermeil (gold in sterling silver) version priced at S$192,640. Click here for the entire collection.
