We smell so good, we could lick ourselves right now. Why? Because of Lush’s new suncare range, that’s why.
British skincare brand Lush goes above and beyond with its new sun care products. It uses the delicious scents of the brand combined with the industry standard of sunscreens with SPF (sun protection factors) and UVAPF (UVA Protection Factors).
It is impossible to stress how important sunscreen is for the skin, especially in our harsh weather. Apart from protecting you from a nasty sunburn, sunscreens also reduces and prevents photo-aging which keeps skin from looking old before its time.
Lush’s new Sesame Suntan Lotion (S$26.50 -S$49.50) is great if you wish to get a tan but still have adequate skin protection. Not to mention is smells so much like sesame paste that we were tempted to eat it! It has an SPF 10 and contains ingredients such as sesame oil, walnut leaf infusion and fair-trade organic Colombian cocoa butter. We like how it absorbs quickly without leaving too much of a residue on the skin.
Another of Lush’s star products is The Sunblock (S$30), this solid soap-like sunscreen wash has SPF 30 and is conveniently used in the shower before stepping out. It leaves a film on the skin, which acts as the sunscreen. However, it is a little odd that the bar melts at room temperature, so we chucked it in the fridge to keep its shape.
But what about the face, you cry! Don’t fret with the Million Dollar Moisturiser (S$110), this bionic facial moisturiser contains rich shea butter, honey and lavender oil to keep skin supple. It also has a pigment to leave a subtle healthy glow. Be sparing with this if you have oily skin, it can be a little too rich for some.
