For 40 years, L’Occitane played inspiration to the Provencal way of life, creating enchanting scents from its backyard. Once a small business, it has grown into a beloved international brand for natural beauty and wellness concerns. This year, they pay tribute to four decades of love with Man and Nature with limited edition 40th Anniversary hand creams and their continued support towards eye health through Orbis and their global initiative, Race For Vision.
40th Anniversary Limited Edition
Available in Shea, Shea Rose and Cherry Blossom, the hand creams will be dressed in a specially designed 40th Anniversary design from 1 September 2016 onwards. Accompanying them are pouches, tote bags and a specially made L’OCCITANE truck figurine in matching design to be given away to VIP members with a minimum spend.
Giving Back Through Orbis and Race For Vision
As a brand known for giving back to society, this year is no different. With an approximate of 440,000 USD donated to Orbis, they aim to provide quality eye care to more than 10 million people by 2020 with the next-generation, plane-based Flying Eye Hospital. In collaboration with Qatar Development Fund, it will serve as a laser treatment and training area, hosting patients and their families during pre- and post-operative assessments.
Back in June, they also launched a global initiative, Race For Vision, where they invited people from all walks of life to take a step towards better eye care. For every 3KM walked or ran, it gifts eye care to someone in need. It was met with overwhelming response with Singapore ranking in third on the global scale, clocking in at 2317.41KM with just 40 participants. While the event has officially ended, L’Occitane has brought much awareness to the cause, giving us all a chance to help out directly with the relevant charities.
