Le Labo City Exclusive Perfumes are only sold in each of the nine cities they are created for. These special editions from the American perfumery are not even sold online. And for a very rare occasion in the month of September, the range of nine scents will be made available in Singapore at S$454 for a 50ml bottle. They will be compounded fresh individually here in Singapore at the lab at Escentials located in Paragon Shopping Centre.
The Le Labo brand has been popularised by Fairmont Hotels and Resorts when they introduced the popular Le Labo Rose 31 range in all its rooms since end 2011. Park Hyatt has also introduced the Le Labo Bergamot range in most of its properties around the world.
Le Labo City Exclusive scents are created to give tribute to the cities Le Labo has shops in. These special editions are also priced higher than the regular range of scents because they are made in smaller quantities without the bulk economies of scale and are highly concentrated at between 25 and 30%.
The nine City Exclusive scents are:
- Tubereuse 40: New York – Eau de cologne effect with tuberose, bergamot, tangerine and orange flower. Contains notes of tuberose, bergamot, ambrette, absolute, cedar, sandalwood, jasmine and petit grain.
- Poivre 23: London – Warm, ultra spicy and oriental scent with notes of pepper bourbon, cistus labdanum, patchouli indonesia, gaiac, sandalwood and vanilla.
- Musc 25: Los Angeles – A sensual, sexual and decadent scent containing notes of musk, aldehyde, ambergris, lily of the valley, patchouli, rose, cedar and vetiver.
- Gaiac 10: Tokyo – A woody musky fragrance with notes of Gaiac Wood, cedar, musk and olibanum.
- Baie Rose 26: Chicago – A spicy and woody perfume but still fresh evoking pure refinement, personality and memorability. Contains notes of ambrox, cloves, pink pepper, pimento, berries, musk, cedar and aldehyde.
- Limette 37: San Francisco – Clean and fresh with notes of bergamot, jasmine, petit grain, clove, vetiver, tonka beans and musks.
- Cuir 28: Dubai – Powerful and dark scent with notes of leather, vetiver, animal notes (ambrox), musks and vanilla absolute.
- Vanille 44: Paris – Subtle amber, incense and woody sexy note with vanilla bourbon, bergamot, incense, mandarin and gaiac.
- Benjoin 19: Moscow – Deep and powerful experience of sensuality and rebelliousness. Contains notes of benzoin, olibanum, amber, cedar and musks.
