So what’s your story? Betcha yours is a livelier tale than oh-I-donno, Gwyneth Paltrow’s? The mother of Apple – not the Steve Jobs one, but the Chris Martin one – fronts Boss Jour Pour Femme. It’s the latest fragrance from the house of Hugo Boss, and the nice ring to it is, it can be interpreted as “woman is the day boss”. (Sorry, sisters, just jokin’, of course she rules the night as well.)
Boss Parfums atomises its latest inspiration next month (September) here in Singapore and Boss beseeches every woman to “write your own story”. Jour is the day, and when you step out to greet it – with a spritz of the scent of white florals and vibrant citrus – you can practically then script the rest of your day.
Breakfast, work desk, coffee, dab of Jour, lunch, shop, cocktails, Jour, hot date, supper, Jour. (Or Nuit. Gwynnie fronted Boss Nuit as well.)
At the launch of the day perfume, I asked image consultant Eunice Tan what when.
What when perfumes come into contact with white (garments). Yes, any perfume can stain light-coloured fabric, she said. The trick is to put on your parfums right out of the shower. Then dress up. Jour or Nuit, night or day.
Boss Jour Pour Femme Eau de Parfum is in three sizes, from S$79.
