Pointpal Loyalty Programme Goes High Tech

October 2011, Singapore – In this era of loyalty programmes and cards, who needs another discount card in an already cluttered wallet.  With this premise, the folks at Pointpal developed a mobile application knowing that the phone is something that most people cannot live without.

So how does Pointpal work.  Check out the video below to find out.

All you need to do is download the application and register once.  After that you can add your merchant offer cards as your favourite.  Make a purchase there and your points are validated with your mobile phone by scanning the validation QR code.  A virtual stamp is then placed on the Merchant Offer Card on your phone.

Depending on the type of offer the merchant offers, collecting stamps can gain you free services, products, scratch to win a prize or get a chance to win in a lucky draw.

Pointpal is still acquiring new merchants to their current list of merchants which includes Barkode, Bath Culture, Caliss, Dapao Foods, Meiko Tailor, Mont Calzone, Nail Vibe Singapore, Shots, Sole2Sole, U-Toys, U-Toys Extreme and Wine Universe.     I seriously hope that Pointpal would be acquiring a larger merchant pool with key chain partners in the retail, supermarket, petrol and daily purchases type of outlets.

Meanwhile, do give this application a try and let us know what you think.
