We were pleasantly surprised when we received this package from Coca Cola with our names on these Coke cans in place of the iconic Coca-Cola logo. This was first launched in Australia in 2011 and has spread in more than 80 countries and today it has finally arrived in Singapore in celebration of Singapore’s 50th anniversary till the end of August.
The Coke, Coke zero and Coke light cans and bottles here will feature commonly used Singaporean terms such as Auntie, Uncle, Ah Boy and Chiongster or colloquial nicknames such as BFF, Bestie, Babe and Bro as well as classic expressions such as I Love You and You are the Best. Singlish phrases top the list of our favourites such as Gam Siah, Relak Lah and Chiong Ah.
All these are part of Cocoa Cola’s “Share A Coke” campaign which is about giving people the opportunity to connect and experience the special moments that are created through the simple act of sharing a coke.
You can also create customised Coca-Cola cans at ‘Share A Coke’ roadshows with every S$10 spent on Coca-Cola trademark products. Just show your proof of purchase at the roadshows and you receive your own personalised Coca-Cola can.
