Japan’s All Nippon Airways refreshed its amenity kits for First Class and Business Class passengers travelling on long haul routes this year.
ANA First Class Amenity Kits
The new First Class Amenity Kit comes with ear plugs, eye mask, toothbrush and toothpaste and other toiletries in a Samsonite Curv Cosmolite case which is a replica of the actual luggage. Samsonite’s Cosmolite range is their strongest and lightest luggage.
This replaces the previous Rimowa version which also features the same items in it.
The Ginza branded facial products come in a generous size – cleansing foam (20g), energising lotion (35ml) and moisturising lotion (30g). These facial products have been thoughtfully kept in a plastic bag with a drawstring to keep the other contents in the amenity kit dry even after you have given your face a rinse in the bathroom.
While it gets pretty dry in flight, the Ginza skincare products by Shiseido are unisex. Start by cleansing your face with the Ginza Creamy Cleansing Foam followed by using the accompanying cotton pad to gently apply the Ginza Energising Lotion on your face and complete it with the Ginza Moisturising Emulsion.
The Samsonite amenity kits are available in different colours including black, pink, green and brown.
A double-sided knitted top and bottom spre-dyed threaded pyjamas in a storage pouch is given to First Class passengers, which can be taken home.
ANA Business Class Amenity Kits
The Business class amenity kit features L’occitane products in a soft beige Travel Kit. These kits are distributed to passengers flying between Japan and North America or Europe excluding Honolulu.
L’occitane’s shea Ultra-rich lip balm (2g) with 10% shea butter repairs dry lips while the Fabulous Serum (5m) protects against harsh conditions and provide optimal hydration.
Offered separately from the kit are slippers and a shoe horn, tooth brush sets, mouth wash, face & body sheets, eye mask, ear plugs, face and handcream, mask and combs.
Unique to ANA are Aroma Cards which are available in two scents – Relax or Refresh. These are fabulous and a personal favourite. The scent patch is pasted on a business card size card which you can either place in your shirt pocket or near your pillow. The lavender scented Relax cards are great to help you sleep better.
Should you want to change into pyjamas, they are also available but you have to return them before disembarking. We are not too sure why the airline doesn’t just give them to their customers.
