10,000 square feet of interactive art coupled with lots of selfie and photo moments is what can be expected at Alive Museum and which opens at Suntec City Mall 12 June 2014. It joins the Trick Eye Museum that opened at Resorts World Sentosa on 8 June 2014 as the two newest attractions to open this month in Singapore.
Opened in 2009 as South Korea’s first original 3D visual illusion museum, Alive Museum claims to be the world’s largest chain of this concept where 2D art comes to live. It has eight branches in South Korea, three in China and one in Thailand, Vietnam and Turkey.
Three genres of art in the form of 70 masterpieces including Trick Art, Digital Art and Object Art will give you lots of fun. Expect to jump, go on all fours, sit in a boat or just a soft blow while visiting and appreciating the works here.
Transform into an angel or a mermaid, let Superman carry you while he flies off, or catch Marilyn Monroe’s signature skirt flying.
Follow the directions that come with every masterpiece and check out the Photo Point icons on the ground to know where to stand for the best photographs. You can just use your mobile phone to snap and minor editing would be required.
The museum will switch 30% of their exhibits for new ones every 12 to 18 months so you can return. Ticket prices for adults are S$25 and S$20 for children between the age of three and 12. Alive Museum is located at #03-372 at Suntec City Mall between Tower 3 and 4.
Take your time to explore and find the best photo opportunity and more importantly have lots of fun. Go in threes so that you can get someone to help you take photos or better yet bring a tripod.
