The Singapore Canoe Marathon returns to Punggol Waterway on 12 January 2014. The 12th edition of the water sport is organised by the People’s Association Water-Venture and the Singapore Canoe Federation (SCF) and will be held at Punggol Waterway from 8am to 6.30pm. The competition is targeted at schools and affiliates with four different categories. The distances range from 14 to 28 km.
A new race category for family and friends to participate will be introduced – a non-competitive 6m fun race. This category is open to anyone even if you do not have any canoe certifications and is limited to the first 100 participants. There will also be tryouts organised through out the day for anyone who is interested in picking up the sport.
There is a registration fee for the races or tryouts.
- Competitive races from 14 – 28km – S$60 per person (SCF affiliate) | S$90 per person (Non SCF affiliate) – 10% discount for signups as a group of more than 10.
- Fun Race (6km) – S$30 per person on a double seated top kayak
- Kayak Tryout (30 minutes) – S$5 per boat
