Etihad Airways introduces eight live television channels broadcasting live news and sports on its 21 widebody aircraft by 7 November. The airline will increase the coverage to 37 widebody aircraft by end 2014.
The new live television channels include BBC World News, BBC Arabic, euronews and Sport 24 will be available from 1 November. CNBC, Japan’s NHK World Premium and CNN will be introduced during November and Sky News Arabia will be introduced at a later date.
The final three races from this Sunday’s Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix held at Yas Marina Circuit, US Grand Prix on 17 November and the Brazil Grand Prix on 24 November will be available in flight.
Other highlights in November include ATP World Tour Finals, English Premier League and German Bundesliga matches and Euroleague Basketball.
