Casio launched their flagship “Self Portrait” Casio EXILIM EX-TR350 12 megapixel digital camera in Shanghai, China on 30 May 2013. The CASIO EXILIM EX-TR series camera has been a big hit to fashionistas and ladies who worship its flexibility and “makeup” mode to take beautiful self portraits and party group shots with its 21mm wide angle lens.
The new Casio EXILIM EX-TR350 comes with built-in wireless connectivity that not only provides easy file transfers to smartphones and social media platforms via Quick Send function, it also doubles up as Live View monitor & remote control when connected to a smart device (supporting both Google Android & Apple iOS platforms). Makes taking self portrait even easier! Just place it on a table top, frame yourself and snap away from your smart device.
Better than its predecessors, the new EX-TR350 is powered by EXILIM HS3 dual core processor image engine for a quick startup to shoot in less than a second and faster image processing time allowing simultaneous shooting at the same time. The EX-TR350 is also the first in the series to have a removable battery for active users to replenish the juice when needed.
A shutter button has been added to the hitch for easier & steadier snapping. The placement of the shutter button also makes it easier for ladies to photograph themselves. It also protrudes out so that ladies with long fingernails will no longer have difficulty pressing the shutter button.
The Casio EXILIM EX-TR series is renowned for its “Makeup” Mode that beautifies the skin tone during a portrait shot. Even celebrities such as Tang Yan (唐嫣) is also a fan of these cameras. Tang Yan made a special appearance at the launch event sharing her experience with the Casio EXILIM EX-TR series digital cameras. She even showed off how she takes a self portrait to the audience with the new Casio EXILIM EX-TR350.
Trying the Casio EXILIM EX-TR350 for the first time, I was impressed with how easy it is to take a nice self portrait without the hassle of going through trial & error which I usually encounter when taking it with my iPhone 5. From the standup mode, you can stand away and activate the shutter either by setting a timer shutter or activate it through a wave of your hand or trigger wirelessly through your smart device. It is your solution for that perfect Outfit Of The Day (OOTD) shot for your Instagram and other social media platforms to share with your friends or fans.
The 21mm wide angle lens also comes in handy when you need to take a group shot from one arm’s length. Now you can comfortably take a group shot of six people with extra room to spare and minimal distortion, so no more warped faces your group photo.
Measuring at 128.9mm by 61.6mm by 14.9mm and weighing at 170g, the new Casio EXILIM EX-TR350 is slightly larger than its predecessors but yet looks more stylish & premium with its curvy edge and glossy pearl surface chassis.
The Casio EXILIM EX-TR350 digital camera will be available for pre-order in China from 6 June 2013. No news on the global launch and price yet. As a reference, its predecessor Casio EXILIM EX-TR200 is currently sold in Singapore at S$899 so the price point is suspected to be in the similar range or higher.
The rest of the world will be launching a similar product with the model Casio EXILIM EX TR 15. Click here for more information and pricing for Singapore.
