8 August 2012, Singapore – Raffles Hotel Singapore was first opened 125 years ago. And to mark the hotel’s 125th anniversary, Raffles Hotels and Resorts has worked with private label cuvée to bottle a limited-edition 125th Anniversary Billecart-Salmont Brut Reserve champagne that will be available at Raffles Hotel Singapore first then at other hotels in the family in Paris, Seychelles, Cambodia and China.
The limited edition Brut Réserve is a blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier from three different years and sourced from sites in the Champagne region. The cuvée offers a floral freshness with the aroma of fresh fruit and ripe pears with a full flavour and rich bouquet.
Nicolas François Billecart and Elisabeth Salmon established Billcart-Salmon in 1818. Billcart-Salmon has been fashioning elegant Champagne, fully rounded vintage cuvées with the purest palate and seemingly ageless style. The oldest continuously family owned and operated house in Champagne is currently managed by the seventh generation.
