31 July 2012, Singapore – Singapore Short Cuts is returning for its ninth season this year showcasing local short films. This year’s programme by the National Museum Cinémathèque and co-presented with The Substation Moving Images, puts together an array of short cuts of varied genres and themes that represent the best of Singapore’s short films this year.
15 short films out of over 100 films were shortlisted for screening at the 9th Singapore Short Cuts over two weekends on 4 & 5 August and 11 August at the Gallery Theatre of the National Museum of Singapore. The programme will feature some of the best works of a myriad of themes, including several that are particularly close to Singaporeans’ hearts, such as marriage, national service, pursuit of one’s dreams, immigration and identity.
