tvN K-Pop Star Hunt Season 2 Kicks Off

2 July 2012, Singapore – The second season of tvN K-Pop Star Hunt kicks off after a successful season 1 which attracted over 50 million viewers.   This talent competition to discover the next K-Pop superstars within Asia is organised by tvN, CJ Entertainment & Media (CJ E&M) and South Korean record label CUBE entertainment which manages BEAST, 4Minute and G.NA.

tvN K-Pop Star Hunt Season 2 lets talents across Asia have the chance to appear on the tv and the ability to realise their dreams.  Besides the five countries that were open for audition in Season 1 which included Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand and the Philippines, two other countries have been added in this season – Japan and Malaysia.

The winner of tvN K-Pop Star Hunt Season 2 will receive an intensive professional training for K-Pop Singer by CJ E&M and CUBE Entertainment, along with an album release and a chance to make a debut stage appearance on Korea international music award show, 2013 MAMA.

Sorn from Thailand was season 1’s winner.  She bagged and exclusive contract with CUBE Entertainment.  Sorn gained an extensive number of fans from the reality series and has moved to Seoul for her debut album training.

HOW YOU CAN BE PART OF SEASON 2

• Record your rendition of any K-Pop song-and-dance song and upload to the official website.
• Upload your video submission before 26 August 2012 at 11.59pm, Singapore time.

PRE-AUDITION ROADSHOW

Head down to Plaza Singapura’s main atrium on Saturday 28 July 2012 between 12pm and 6pm.  tvN will help you record and submit your video on the spot with professional-quality audio and video equipment.
