2 December 2011, Japan – After spending a few days in Osaka, Japan for AirAsia X’s inaugural flight from Kuala Lumpur, we were returning back to Kuala Lumpur on 2 December. It was Senior First Officer Raveen’s birthday and the crew on board decided to give him a surprise birthday celebration. Guests joined in the celebrations and every one was treated to a small slice of birthday cake. Of course, the candles could not be lighted due to safety reasons.
How often do you get to experience a birthday celebration 30,000 feet above sea level. It was an intimate affair and a rather memorable one too.
