9 September 2011, Belfast – Korean Pop band Big Band makes Asia proud by winning the World Wide Act in the recent 2011 MTV EMA awards ceremony in Belfast, Ireland.
Other contenders in the World Wide Act category of the 18th annual edition of the EMA were Lena (Europe), Abdelfattah Grini (Africa/India/Middle East), Britney Spears (North America) and Restart (Latin America). The World Wide Act category is one of two new categories added to the EMA this year.
To celebrate BigBang’s win, MTV will be airing a week long of BigBang Specials.
