Accor Opens Mercure Koh Chang Hideaway

19 October 2011, Bangkok – Accor group opens Mercure Koh Chang Hideaway on Koh Chang, Thailand’s second largest island.   The new property is located on Bai Lan Bay.  It has a 1km private beach and is 4km away from the popular Lonely Beach and 3km from Bang Bao fishing village.

Accor’s debut property on the island has 96 rooms with seven room types – standard, extensive villas, suites for different guests.  All rooms are equipped with in-room amenitites such as LCD flat screen TV with DVD player, personal safe deposit box, minibar, coffee/tea making facilities, hair dryer.

The 24 exclusive villas come with either pool or sea views giving couples and families the privacy and space.

There are also four food and beverage outlets to choose from:

  • The Bay Restaurant – Main dining area, serving a wide selection for breakfast, lunch and dinner
  • Reef Bar – located on a 2 storey low rise building, next to the main swimming poola and overlooking the sea
  • Starfish Lobby Bar – Offers drinks and snacks in a cosy and intimate setting
  • Pool Bar – provides refreshment and finger food

Other hotel facilities include:

  • Fitness Centre
  • Water Sport activity
  • Swimming pool
  • Jacuzzi
  • Massage
  • Sauna
  • Meeting Room with a capacity of up to 200pax
