Lahu Hotpot: Aviation-Themed Dining Experience with Joyful Communal Hotpot

LAHU Hotpot 辣虎 was a delightful find by chance. Just a few doors down from the recently opened Marymount Bakehouse on 408 Race Course Road, this new authentic Chengdu hotpot restaurant features a vibrant industrial-style interior adorned with graffiti art and touches of commercial aviation-inspired decor.

The spacious spaces are split into different sections. Concrete flooring, ceilings and walls give the space a modern industrial vibe. Lots of photo moments here while you dine.

Here at Lahu Hotpot, you’ll find aviation-inspired furnishings like food trolleys and containers from China Eastern as well as Juneyao Air’s low-cost subsidiary 9Air from commercial aircraft galleys, along with stripped-down airline seat frames. As an aviation enthusiast, I really enjoyed these flight-themed elements!

The menu offers classic hotpot options such as beef tripe, fresh seafood, Japanese luncheon meat, and more. We particularly enjoyed the tender, flavourful thick-sliced marinated beef and the thick, sweet gong cai (Mountain Jelly Lettuce), which is a rare find in Singapore. There’s also a variety of soups to choose from, and we savoured the Chicken with Fish Maw soup, Tomato soup and the Mala Butter soup.

For a change, drop by this new hotpot destination and give it a try. For the three of us we spent, S$120. LAHU Hotpot operates from Tuesday to Sunday from 11 am to 3pm and from 5pm to 10.30pm.
