24 February 2011, Singapore -Twenty members of the Victoria Junior College’s (VJC) Golf Club met with American Amanda Blumenherst as part of a LPGA Outside the Ropes activity. These lucky individuals are part of the HSBC Youth Golfers Programme.
“We don’t get to meet golf professionals so it is a rare opportunity for us. It serves as an inspiration to us and it shows that we can juggle our school work with golf,” said Terence Tan, 18, Golf Captain from VJC’s Golf Club.
LPGA Outside the Ropes is an outreach program embraced by LPGA Tour players to elevate their significant off-course activities. The community and charitable activities primarily are designed to benefit tournaments and title sponsors.
