Chubb Establishes Aviation Hub in Singapore

Chubb, the largest publicly traded insurance company for property and casualty, has established an aviation centre in Singapore to further expand its general aviation and aerospace operations. The establishment of the Singapore aviation hub is part of Chubb Global Markets’ strategic focus on the aviation team, which includes Chubb’s London Market wholesale and specialty division, including its Lloyd’s platform. Collaborating with brokers and clients, Chubb Global Markets delivers tailored solutions across a wide range of risks.

“Singapore is a key market for the aviation community in Asia. The launch of our new aviation hub is an important part of Chubb’s global expansion in this sector, enabling us to enhance our product and service offering for clients and broker partners across the region.”

Paul McNamee, Senior Vice President, Chubb Group and Regional President, Asia Pacific

Alastair Stuart, who previously worked at QBE, has been appointed as the Practice Leader of Aviation, Asia Pacific, and will oversee the hub’s operations. Reporting to Nigel Griffiths, the Head of General Aviation at Chubb Global Markets, Stuart will be based in Singapore and will be responsible for establishing and expanding Chubb Global Markets’ aviation business in the region. Stuart brings with him over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, having previously served as a senior underwriter for QBE’s Aviation & Aerospace business in Australia and as an Account Director at Aerosure Asia Pacific Pty Ltd.
