Singapore Airlines has partnered with California-based world-renowned health and wellness retreat Golden Door. Golden Door’s chefs, nutritionists and personal trainers have developed a range of menus, exercise and stretching programmes. These will be available on Singapore Airlines flights between Singapore and North America.
Healthy travel is a priority for everyone who flies. Golden Door’s content designed specifically for Singapore Airlines customers will help them enjoy improved nutrition, sleep, relaxation and energy levels on long non-stop flights that can extend to nearly 19 hours.
The new wellness menus will be available in addition to the existing menu from the International Culinary Panel, Book the Cook in premium classes and other programmes. Customers can mix-and match individual dishes from any SIA dining programme to further customise their in-flight dining experience. Healthy dining can still be satisfying.

Stay hydrated with new wellness-focused beverages. SIA will provide specially designed teas and beverages that enhance hydration and promote a sense of relaxation and rejuvenation in the aircraft cabin.
Golden Door practitioners are developing a range of small-scale, inflight exercises and stretches that customers can do at their seats to increase circulation, enhance flexibility and enhance alertness prior to arriving at their international destination.
Golden Door is also developing a range of experience-based techniques and approaches to help travellers maximise both the amount and quality of their sleep onboard SIA’s ultra-long-haul flights.
In January 2022, SQ37, the direct service from Los Angeles to Singapore will feature the first menus and wellness content. They will be progressively extended to SIA’s non-stop services from San Francisco, New York and the seasonal flight from Seattle to Singapore. SIA recently announced that it would introduce a seasonal route between Singapore, Vancouver and Seattle from 2 December 2021 to 15 February 2022.
“A healthier travel experience is no longer a luxury; it is a necessity. Bringing the Golden Door programme to a world class airline like Singapore Airlines will enable guests to arrive at their destination nurtured and refreshed — no doubt setting the bar for wellness and the future of travel.”
Ms Mathy Van Ness, General Manager and Chief Operating Officer, Golden Door
