Hilton Singapore Rebrands To voco Orchard Singapore by IHG in 2022

The 51-year old Hilton Singapore owned by Hotel Properties Limited will deflag and become IHG Hotels & Resorts’ premium voco Hotel brand. voco Orchard Singapore is expected to welcome guests with the 423-rooms from January 2022. It will be South East Asia’s first voco hotel, IHG’s 12th hotel & seventh brand in Singapore.

The voco brand was launched in 2018. Today, there are 50 signed and opened hotels in over 20 countries. voco originates from Latin, meaning ‘to invite’ and ‘call together’.

voco Orchard Singapore will have 12 meeting rooms across over 1,750 sqm. Guests can dine at its four restaurants and bars.

The conversion-friendly nature of the voco brand attracts interest from owners looking to convert hotels, maximise returns and quickly benefit from IHG’s global scale, technology platforms, and IHG Rewards programme. Amidst the pandemic last year, IHG reported an increase in conversion activity with 25% of the company’s signings reported as such –13% of which were to voco.

The brand also continues to evolve as part of its global ambition to welcome guests at 200 voco hotels in leading urban and leisure locations within 10 years. Its first-ever all-suites property has been signed in Doha, Qatar, and its first new-build hotel has opened for business in Edinburgh, Scotland, with another, in Nanjing, China, preparing to welcome guests later this year.

Other IHG Properties in Singapore
