Staying at the Pan Pacific Singapore offers you a view to remember. The priceless view during sunsets on a good day can even give you a postcard-type of photo memories you can bring home. Depending on where your room is facing, you may get a view of what I had. That was a view of the iconic ArtScience Museum and the three towering blocks of Marina Bay Sands as well as the Esplanade Theatres and Concert Hall, which has been dubbed as the Durians of Singapore and the skyscrapers of the central business district beyond the Marina Bay.
Last year, we stayed in a Harbour Studio Room with Pacific Club Access for a night. The room is a whopping 46sqm. Spacious! The room features a generous workspace, ergonomic Herman Miller desk chair, complimentary wired and wireless internet, 32″ LCD internet protocol television with local and cable channels, Nespresso coffee machine and tea making facilities and a fully-stocked mini bar.
Not to confuse you, but the hotel has 10 different room categories with 441 Deluxe Rooms, the most rooms in all the categories. There are 90 Harbour Studios and nine Pacific Harbour Studios which are 65 sqm. There are another 162 Panoramic rooms and 53 Pacific rooms It also has a Presidential Suite, three Harbour Suites, five Pacific Skyline Suites, nine Pacific Harbour Studios, 10 Skyline Suites and 16 City Suites. In total, the Pan Pacific Singapore has 790 rooms.
I like it that there was a spacious work desk and a separate high stool table for me to enjoy my Nespresso coffee or have a munch while enjoying the view. And as a Pacific Club guest, I got to enjoy complimentary soft drinks from the in-room mini bar.
The bedroom looks into the bathroom as well but you can always lower the blinds from inside the bathroom for some privacy. The bed and pillows are so comfortable that I had a very good sleep that night. Pacific Club guests can also request for other pillows from the menu of buckwheat hull organic, foam contour, coil and polyester pillows.
The bathroom is rather spacious. The bathtub is always a plus giving you the option to soak when you want to. 95% of the time I don’t bother to fill up the tub. There was more than ample space on the basin top. and such a wide mirror that almost took up the entire length of the bathroom.
There is a separate shower area with Hans Grohe fittings and a rain shower. In the bathroom, there are ample hooks to hang your clothes.
Pan Pacific Singapore used to provide elemis toiletries but we realised that both PARKROYAL and Pan Pacific Hotels in Singapore have changed to their own house brand of bathroom amenities.
The Pacific Club on level 38 offers champagne breakfast, afternoon tea, sunset cocktails and canapés. As a Pacific Club guest, you can also choose to have your breakfast at Edge or in room dining breakfast. You also enjoy late check out till 2pm with Pacific Club access till departure. If you dine at Edge, Hai Tien Lo, Keyaki, Atrium and Pacific Marketplace, you also enjoy privileged dining rates. The Pacific Club operates 24 hours.
