Airbus has announced its line up in this year’s Singapore Airshow. It will be highlighting its full range of commercial aircraft, helicopter, defence and space products. The Group’s top executives will attend the show. Five aircraft will be displayed including the new A350-900 long range airliner, the latest generation A400M military transporter making its debut in Singapore, and three of its lightest light helicopter models, H145, H130 and H135.
The Airbus A350 XWB will take centre-stage in the flying display and also be on static display throughout the week. Qatar Airways will be conducting tours of its A380 and A350 XWB aircraft during trade days. The A350XWB has been especially successful in the Asia-Pacific region where 13 airlines have already ordered the aircraft.
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, said: “Qatar Airways is delighted to be participating again in this year’s Singapore Airshow, in an increased capacity. The three aircraft we will be displaying demonstrate our technologically advanced and fast-growing young fleet. We have just celebrated our one year anniversary of A350 operations, and already we are embarking on another milestone with the world’s newest civilian aircraft, the Gulfstream G650ER, which many visitors will have the opportunity of seeing up close at the Singapore Airshow.”
The A350, now flying thrice-daily from Doha to Singapore, features customised interior settings, with its Business Class cabin comprising of 36 seats in a 1-2-1 configuration and its Economy Class cabin in a 3-3-3 configuration, allowing it to seat 247 passengers. Qatar Airways was the global launch customer for the A350, and recently celebrated one year of operations with the aircraft. Qatar Airways started flying the world’s latest-technology aircraft from Singapore in May 2015, making it the first country in Asia to be served with the A350. In addition, Qatar Airways currently operates regular commercial A350 service to Frankfurt, Munich, and Philadelphia – the first airline to operate the A350 to three continents.
Airbus Defence and Space will showcase a Royal Malaysian Air Force A400M new generation airlifter. The C295ASW anti-submarine warfare aircraft with its proprietary FITS mission system, and the Zerphyr High Altitude Pseudo Satellite unmanned system will also be presented.
Show visitors will get first hand experience of Airbus Helicopters’ H130, H135 and H145 on the static display. These helicopters are used for tourism and business application to public services, search and rescue and helicopter emergency medical services.

Airbus Group HR and business representatives will be present on 18 and 19 February at the Aerocampus booth on the Singapore Airshow to meet with candidates interested in career opportunities in Customer Support, Customer Services, Maintenance and Engineering.
