Kopi Tiam at level 2 of Swissôtel The Stamford is now offering diners crab dishes on its menu for a limited time till 22 February 2016.
Available on the menu are eight crab themed dishes freshly prepared with local ingredients. The Singapore Chilli Crab is Singapore’s well loved dish featuring fresh succulent meat from the Sri Lankan Crabs goes well with golden deep-fried Mantou buns. There is also a Black Pepper Crab (S$55) or Egg White Steamed Crab (S$55) dish.
I enjoy the sweet flavours of the crab meat of the aromatic and smooth Egg White Steamed Crab (S$55) cooked with ginger and rice wine.
If you enjoy the flavours of the Salted Egg Yolk, then you will enjoy the Salted Egg Yolk Flower Crab (S$55). There is also a Curry Flower Crab (S$42) and a Deep-Fried Soft Shell Crab with Wasabi Mayonnaise (S$28).
Other dishes derived from crab meat include the Thai Crab Cakes (S$25), Homemade Crabmeat Spring Rolls (S$20) and a rather comforting ‘Foo Yong’ Egg with Crab Meat (S$20).
Kopi Tiam is located at level 2, Swissôtel The Stamford. Lunch is available from 11.30am to 2.30pm on Monday to Friday and 12pm to 2.30pm on Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays. Dinner is available from 6pm to 10.30pm daily.
