The inaugural Singapore leg of the Bloomberg Square Mile Relay will take to the streets around the Promontory @ Marina Bay on 24 October. More than 1,500 competitors have already signed up with teams from banks, law firms, IT companies, insurance brokers and pharmaceuticals signed up. Each team of ten will run the one-mile course in a bid to clock the fastest collective time.
The Bloomberg Square Mile Relay route is released today which will take runners from a straight-line sprint start towards the first hairpin and kicking off along Marina Boulevard and then back around the Promontory. From there, competitors will twist and turn along the streets through buildings, down stairs and along the Bay before pushing for the finishing line and handing over the baton to a teammate.
