Air France Introduces Eco-Designed Tableware

Air France new tableware collection (Premium Economy)

Air France recently introduced a new set of tableware by Eugeni Quitllet and IPI on board its long-haul flights in Premium Economy and Economy cabins. Passengers flying out of Singapore can enjoy their meals with the new tableware.

Made of biodegradable disposable tableware, the new eco designed tableware and the accompanying tray is lighter weight and reduces CO2 emissions by 30%.

While the cutlery may differ between Economy and Premium Economy, the meals served are consistent throughout both classes.

Business and First class passengers will still get their meals served in porcelain tableware. Meals served on Business class departing from Paris-Charles de Gaulle are prepared by Top and Michelin star chefs. Michel Roth is the current Chef till the end of this month and Chef Thibaut Ruggeri will be presenting the long haul business class menu from 1 October 2013.
