Low cost carrier Tigerair, will be introducing four new destination routes starting from 29 October 2013.
Tigerair will fly three times every fortnight to Lijiang in Yunnan province, China from 29 October; four times weekly to Chiang Mai from 2 November and Langkawi from 8 November and three times weekly to Lombok from 22 November.
Tigerair is the third airline to operate direct flights between Singapore and Langkawi after AirAsia and SilkAir with AirAsia being the only airline to offer daily flights between the two cities.
Currently only SilkAir flies five times a week between Singapore and Chiang Mai. No other airline flies direct to Lijiang from Singapore and only SilkAir flies to Lombok.
The low cost carrier will also be increasing frequency to Surabaya from seven to 13 times a week starting 15 November 2013. The airline is also celebrating its 9th anniversary this year. Check out the festivities here.
