Low cost carrier Scoot launches ScootinSilence which offers extra legroom and no kids under 12. Located from Rows 21 to 25 just after ScootBiz, there are 41 Super or S-T-R-E-T-C-H seats offering 35″ pitch which is 4 inches more than standard economy seats.
Earlier this year, AirAsia X launched their ‘Quiet Zone‘ on board its Airbus A330-300 fleet for its long-haul flights. The ‘Quiet Zone’ is located on the first seven economy class rows just after the Premium cabin. Kids under 12 are also not allowed in this zone. Soft lighting and a more relaxing cabin is also offered. AirAsia does not charge an extra fee for this option except for the standard pick-a-seat fee.
