Jacky Cheung, the “King of Songs” spent last Sunday afternoon with close to 800 fans in a concert-like atmosphere in a country he considers his second home, Taiwan. He celebrated his birthday with his fans.

Jacky Cheung has been busy with the production of the Jacky Cheung 1/2 Century World Tour Live Album.   He shared that it may not be his best, but he has definitely done his best to produce it.  Jacky feels that he sees a different side of him when he experiences different phases of life and hopes to continue singing.

Jacky completed 146 concerts in one and a half years’ during his 1/2 Century World Tour, performing in 77 cities to more than 2.8 million audience members, setting a new record for a Chinese artiste’s solo concert tour. His CD and DVD documenting the live concert in his final stop in Hong Kong where the concert tour came to a close was released after a year of toiling.  Within a half a day after its release on iTunes , the CD and DVD took the number one spot on the “Hot Album” charts. The 1/2 Century World Tour Live Album contains three CDs lasting 210 minutes with over 40 of Jacky’s representative songs recorded at 24Bit/96KHz.

We are amazed how our Spotify picked up  the 1/2 Century World Tour Live Album as we were filing this story.  The album definitely is representative of Jacky’s wide range of repertoire and we highly recommend it.
