Changi Airport Terminal 4 To Be Designed & Built by Consortium

Singapore Changi Airport

Changi Airport Group (CAG) today announced its appointment of an architect and design consortium to pilot the overall architecture, design concept and construction of Changi Airport’s Terminal 4.

Members of the appointed Consortium include:

  • SAA Architects Pte Ltd – Lead Agency
  • Benoy Ltd
  • AECOM Singapore Pte Ltd
  • Beca Carter Hollings & Ferner (SEA) Pte Ltd

The appointment of the Consortium was picked after five consortia comprising Singapore and international firms submitted their proposals.  Workshops with various stakeholders including airlines, groundhandlers, immigration and security agencies, retail and food & beverage operators as well as other users will be conducted so that T4’s design meets the needs of every party.

Changi Airport’s Terminal 4 will be a two-storey terminal and will cater to both regional full service and low cost carriers. Demolition of the previous Budget Terminal is close to completion.  Groundbreaking for Terminal 4 is scheduled for the fourth quarter this year, with operations beginning in 2017.  Plans and designs for Terminal 4 are being fine-tuned and will be released when they are ready.
