Metropolitan Festival Orchestra - The Lord of the Rings

Singapore’s first fully-independent professional symphony orchestra, the Metropolitan Festival Orchestra will be performing THE LORD OF THE RINGS – THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING from 6 to 8 June 2013 at The Star Performing Arts Centre.   250 musicians will be performing Howard Shore’s score from Peter Jackson Oscar-winning film trilogy based on J.R. R. Tolkien’s novels.  The movie will be projected above the performers on a full-sized cinematic screen while the orchestra performs.

Led by American Maestro Justin Freer, the orchestra will be joined by the International Festival Chorus and the Young Voices of Vocal Associates.  Kaitlyn Lusk is the vocalist and is accompanied by boy soprano Samuel Yuen.

From 8 to 10 April 2013, American Express cardmembers can enjoy 15% savings off ticket prices as well as priority booking.  Public ticket sales start from 11 April 2013.  Tickets can be purchased from SISTIC.
