20 February 2013, Bangkok – Tourism New Zealand (TNZ) is encouraging families traveling from Thailand to New Zealand in a new initiative together with Thai Airways and Auckland Airport. TNZ hopes to encourage Thai families to explore New Zealand’s landscapes and experience autumn by road with “Explore 100% Pure New Zealand Autumn Colour by Road”.

There are many sites and attractions in New Zealand such as the geothermal city of Rotorua and its unique Maori Culture which I remember from my visit to New Zealand over a decade ago. There is the Hobbiton Movie Set and Farm Tours in Matamata as well as New Zealand’s largest fresh water Lake Taupo or outdoor attractions including the scenic Queenstown or “Adventure Capital” of New Zealand, also the birthplace of bungy jumping.

Promotional airfares and holiday packages are available online at www.newzealand.com or through travel agents. Thai Airways flies direct to Auckland from Bangkok five times per week on its Boeing 777-200ER aircraft which can sit 292 passengers.
