SCOOT Launches Qingdao and Shengyang Flights

11 January 2013, Singapore – Singapore low cost carrier Scoot finally receives regulatory approval and launched its eighth and ninth routes to Qingdao and Shenyang in China today.  The airline had to previously cancel some 20 flights between 27 November and 8 January 2013 because it could not get the necessary regulatory approvals.

Offering thrice-weekly services from Singapore,  the flights head to Shenyang Taoxian International Airport via Qingdao International Airport and back.

Qingdao is a coastal city of nearly nine million, world famous for its great beer and has a mix of German and modern architecture, seafood and proximity to Lao Shan mountain which is considered one of the birthplaces of Buddhism.

Shenyang is the largest city of Northeast China with 13 million is the spiritual home of the Qing Dynasty and an important shopping and business destination as well as a strategic gateway to North East China.
