1 November 2012, Singapore – The new eneloop batteries by SANYO Energy (HR-3UTGB4) now come with an increased life span by 20% compared to previous models (HR-3UTGA and HR-4UTGA) with a total life cycle of approximately 1,800 recharge cycles. They also have a longer storage time, retaining 70% capacity up to after five years of storage.
eneloop has addressed the major drawback of rechargeable batteries – self-discharge. Rechargeable batteries usually lose charges after being stored for a period of time. eneloop addresses this by developing an innovative low self-discharge technology.
The outer label of the new eneloop batteries is covered by an “antibactieral finishing’. They also operate longer for gadgets with high power consumption and in low temperature circumstances than other dry cells.
The AA batteries are 1.2V with a minimum 1,900 mAh.
The four pack AA/AAA-size pack retails at S$25.90 or S$13.90 for the two AA/AAA-size pack and will be available in 15 November 2012.
