5 October 2012, Singapore – It has been slightly over a year since Nescafe’s Dolce Gusto was launched here and it has no doubt dominated the consumer market as one of the leading automatic coffee machines. The best part of Dolce Gusto is its all-in-one system with coffee and milk capsules so you do not need a separate milk frother. Moreover, the variety of flavours available includes hot and cold beverages as well as tea and hot chocolate. With over 25 varieties available worldwide, but only a handful available in Singapore; owners of Dolce Gusto have a lot to look forward to as Nescafe releases new flavours into Singapore over time.
The available flavours include:
Hot Beverages
- Espresso
- Espresso Ristretto
- Cappuccino
- Vanilla Latte Macchiato
- Caramel Latte Macchiato
- Mocha
- Chococino
- Green Tea Latte
- Chai Tea Latte
Cold Beverages
- Cappuccino Ice
- Nestea Peach
Popular flavours are the Cappuccino, Mocha and Green Tea Latte. However, with Singapore’s perpetual warm weather, the cold beverages are an instant hit, especially the Nestea Peach, which is refreshingly peachy and not too sweet.
Coffee connoisseurs will be pleased to know that Dolce Gusto’s coffee is selected only from Arabica beans that mature in heights between 1000 and 2000 metres.
Capsules retail at S$10.90 per box (16 capsules in a box). Most drinks require two capsules – a coffee/tea capsule and a milk capsule. So each box would make you eight cups. For the non-milk flavours like Espresso and Nestea Peach, each box will make 16 cups.
Dolce Gusto has two multi-beverage machines to choose from. The basic but powerful Piccolo (S$259) or the stylish and sophisticated Circolo (S$339) can be found in most electrical chain stores, selected departmental stores and selected supermarkets.
