However, on arrival in Singapore, passengers will have to clear immigration and collect their bags before checking into the second leg of their flight at the departure hall. Tickets for joint itineraries will be on sale from 2 October 2012 for travel from 15 October 2012 onwards.
- Phase 2 – Customers will be able to purchase flight itineraries from South East Asia on 2 November 2012 onwards for travel from the same date. A direct connection process will also be introduced where passengers can proceed with their onward journey with clearing immigration or retrieving their checked baggage and re-checking in.
