1 September 2012, Singapore – Auditions for tvN K-Pop Star Hunt Season 2 attracted more than 400 aspiring K-Pop stars. 150 contestants were previously shortlisted from 1,000 submitted video entries. Today, some 309 additional candidates attended the walk-in auditions at StarHub Green including Rendy Lauwady, one of the few Indonesians who flew down to Singapore just for the auditions. Singapore winners of Season One of the show including Maressa Zahirah and Jasmine Tan were amongst the crowd today to support their friends who were competing.

The judges today included Mr. Eddy Tan, Vice President, Programming of tvN, [V] and Star World, Fox International Channels, Mr. Park Jae-Hyun, General Department Head of Rookie Development Division, CUBE Entertainment and Ms. Irene Ang CEO of Fly Entertainment and Tony An from pioneering K-Pop super band H.O.T.

From this pool of some 400 talents, 16 candidates, aged between 11 and 22, were selected today to battle it out at the second audition at a public performance at Plaza Singapura Level 1, Main Atrium tomorrow 2 September 2012 at 1.30pm.

Two will be picked to represent Singapore for professional training with CUBE Entertianment and compete in the regional’s finals for K-Pop superstardom.

tvN K-Pop Star Hunt Season Two premieres on 24 November 2012, on tvN, StarHub TV Ch. 824/874 (HD).
