Singapore’s First Japanese Ganban’yoku (Bedrock Bathing) Spa
Ganban’yoku is a non-invasive spa-like treatment that counters physical imbalances that eradicates toxins and is widely accepted in Japan for the last 15 years. In Singapore and around the world, this treatment is relatively new.
This treatment uses granite (ganban) with antioxidant properties that emits far-infrared rays and negative ions as a warm bed for you to lie on. The spa room temperature is between 39°C – 41°C with a humidity of 20% to 40%. Improving blood circulation and restoring collagen, the ‘bedrock bathing without hot water’ treatment comes in 45 minute sessions. Sweating detoxifies the body and it is claimed that you sweat more during a session as compared to a hot sauna session.
Each treatment session is affordable at just S$39. And if you are a Hot Yoga fan, there are Ganban Yoga session inside the hot rooms which costs S$50 per session of 1 hour.
These sessions are offered at Anti-Oxidant Centre at 1 Thomson Ridge near Thomson Plaza and Marymount MRT. Visit www.anti-oxidantcentre.com.sg or call +656756 0636 for more information.
