Namie Amuro’s First Visit To Singapore

10 July 2012, Singapore – Japanese pop singer Namie Amuro was in Singapore from 5 to 8 July 2012 for the first time in her 20 year music career.  Arriving at Changi Airport on the evening of 5 July, more than 300 fans welcomed Namie Amuro where she obliged to autograph a fan’s poster.

On 6 July 2012, Namie Amuro met the media as well as 20 privileged fans during her press conference.

‘When I am tired, I have a half bath in the bathtub.   I get my sweat out and it relaxes me.  When I’m not working, I just relax and rest at home,” shared Namie Amuro at the press conference.

On 7 July 2012, Namie Amuro joined her fans at Dragonfly to party to her music.  Fans got to watch her official touring troupe of dancers perform live for the first time here.  Despite not knowing whether Namie Amuro would turn up for the event, the fans still tried their luck at the party.

On her last day in Singapore, Namie Amuro visited the Merlion at Sentosa.   Her original plan to visit the Merlion statue at the Merlion Park had to be changed to the larger version at Sentosa because the Merlion Park was closed for renovation during her visit here.   She added that she would definitely visit the Merlion Park in her next visit.
