Sony HDR GW77 – Sony’s First Waterproof Full HD Camcorder

18 May 2012, Singapore – Sony has been in the camcorder business for many years. Sony finally announces their compact and waterproof Full HD 1080p Handycam, the Sony HDR GW77. The Sony HDR GW77 is lightweight (188g), waterproof (up to five metres), dust resistant, shockproof (up to 1.5m drop) and has a swivel 3.0” LCD touch screen display, making it the perfect companion to take on road trips and holidays.

With a 20 megapixel still image quality and a swing panorama feature, there is no need to bring a separate camera when you are travelling light. Charging is easy and effortless via a supplied USB cable connected to a computer. The package also comes with Sony’s proprietary PlayMemories Home software, providing a variety of editing and management functions, including uploading your creations to YouTube, Facebook, or other Internet sharing sites.

The Sony HDR GW77 will be available in Asia Pacific from all Sony stores and authorised outlets from June 2012.
