Club Med Phuket, Thailand – Voyage of the Five Senses

9 March 2012, Singapore – Located on the unspoilt Bay of Kata in Phuket, Thailand, Club Med Phuket underwent an overhaul and expansion. Keeping to the resort’s original architecture while adding new contemporary interiors, this renovated Club Med is a haven for those who seek peace and tranquillity during their all-inclusive holiday.

The renovation was headed by interior design firm Studio Hertrich & Ardnet.  Giving traditional Asian design  a modern twist, the Lobby & Reception is inspired by a Thai Temple, an Oval Concept Bar that takes the form of a bright purple “Chofa”(a legendary bird in Thai culture), and the Main Restaurant features five different pavilions evoking the five senses of Taste, Fragrance, Music, Colours and Materials.

Adults can enjoy the Zen Pool, an adult-only quiet pool to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility away from children.   In addition, there is a 98 seater brand new Chu-Da restaurant which opens for late lunch and a la carte dinner, offering both indoor and alfresco seating.  The indoor setting is inspired by the Thai Lantern Festival.  Have a romantic dinner dining under the “floating lanterns”.   If you prefer the natural sea breeze from Kata Beach, you should choose the alfresco dining which overlooks the Zen Pool and the beach.
