11 January 2012, Singapore – From the mastermind behind the annual Singapore F1 Grand Prix, Mr Colin Syn, deputy chairman of Singapore GP Pte Ltd, now brings to Singapore the first gourmet fiesta of its kind here. Its philosophy is to unite fine food and drink with a plethora of expert master classes, live demonstrations, fun workshops and culinary shopping, in an event that reaches out to you and I.

Within one purpose-built venue, you can find an alfresco Gourmet Village teeming with award-winning restaurants helmed by Michelin and celebrity chefs (Chef Alain Passard from L’Arpege, France and Chef Alvin Leung from Bo Innovation, Hong Kong), a bespoke indoor Gourmet Auditorium complete with a state-of-the-art kitchen where culinary master classes are held, and a Gourmet Market that boasts an international showcase of artisan food and drink exhibitors.

The Gourmet Village will showcase over 50 dishes from 16 award-winning chefs and restaurants. Wander from menu to menu, on a tasting trail that could take you from Alain Passard’s world famous “Chaud-Froid” Egg to a Peruvian specialty of Scallops Tiradito. Chart your own course on a unique culinary journey with all dishes priced between S$6 and S$21.

The Gourmet Market showcases top quality produce that demonstrates the variety available from around the world. Here you can attend live workshops and demonstrations that discuss product-related issues as varied as nutrition, product innovation and food presentation. Wine, water, coffee and chocolate appreciation sessions and tastings are also available.

The Gourmet Auditorium which features a bespoke air-conditioned theatre-style arena complete with a state-of-the-art Bosch kitchen. Demonstrations by some of the world’s top chefs, sommeliers and nutritionists will not only provide a great insight into the passion they each have for their craft, but will also immerse attendees in a truly intimate behind-the-scenes experience in a world-class setting.

SAVOUR 2012 will be held from 30 March to 1 April 2012 at the Marina Bay Street Circuit, Paddock & Pit Building & 1 Republic Boulevard.

Tickets will be available for sale online at www.savour.sg at S$40 for Lunch (1130am to 4pm) and S$60 for Dinner (6pm to 1030pm).
