December 2011, Singapore – Singapore has seen many new malls popping up this year and the most recent one that opened just before the end of this year is 112 Katong.

Residents in central eastern Singapore now have a fully revamped mall from what used to be Katong Mall. With 207,000 square feet of net lettable area, this S$60 million redevelopment programme is positioned as a premier lifestyle mall that has upscale dining, shops and entertainment.

This mall also features a new cinema in the area under the Golden Village brand. There are two Gold Class Halls, a Gold Class Lounge and six cinema halls for you to watch the latest blockbusters

This new mall is located at the junction of East Coast Road and Joo Chiat Road at 112 East Coast Road. Keeping in theme of the well known Peranakan Katong area, the glass facade and features with the mall are inscribed with subtle Peranakan-inspired motifs highlighted by LED Lights.

The mall is carpeted and scented to offer shoppers a pleasant and posh experience.

Toast box – Operates from 730am and closes at 1am from Sunday to Thursday and Public Holidays and 3am on Friday, Saturday and eve of Public Holidays.

Baci Italian Cafe, Din Tai Fung, Max Brenner Chocolate Bar, Nando’s and T.G.I. Friday’s – Operates from 10am to 1am from Monday to Thursday, 10am to 3am on Friday and Eve of Public Holiday, 9am to 3am (Saturday) and 9am to 1am (Sunday and Public Holiday).

The mall has 310 parking lots with free valet service operating on Friday (5pm to 1am), Saturday (10am to 1am) and Sunday (10am to 11pm). Pick up and drop off next to the taxi stand. However, you still have to bear the usual parking fees beloww.

There are three free shuttle bus service routes every 30 minutes from 1030am to 830pm to choose from:

Route 3 – From The Bayshore – The Tropic Gardens – Lagoon View – Mandarin Gardens – Neptune Court – Bus Stop next to Marine Parade NPC – operates Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays
