9 October 2011, SEOUL, Korea – World Travel Awards Asia and Australasia named Korean Air Asia’s Leading Airline of First Class  at the Awards ceremony held in Bangkok, Thailand on 28 September 2011.

This ‘Oscars’ of the travel and tourism industry represents the ultimate accolade, recognized globally by the travel, tourism and hospitality industry as the foremost acknowledgement of excellence in product and service worldwide.  213,000 industry professionals participated in the voting process which is both monitored and independently audited.

Now the challenge is for Korean Air to maintain this award after being voted for two times in a row.   Korean Air’s First Class cabins feature the famous “Kosmo Suites” which offers notable features such as:

 

  • Spacious, comfortable seats that can be a living room, bedroom, theatre or office
  • Polished wood finished 26.5 inch wide seat converts into a 79 inch long bed
  • 83 inch space between seats
  • 23 inch LCD monitor with more than 60 films, 40 features and 300 CDs in addition to a wide range of video games and audiobooks from the Audio and Video on Demand (AVOD) system
  • Organic First Class cuisine includes Savruga caviar and the finest Laurent Perrier and Dom Perignon champagne
  • First Class lounge at Korean Air’s hub airport, Incheon International in Seoul with relaxing multi action massage chair’s and free shower rooms.
