Singapore Grand Prix 2011 Music Line Up

29 July 2011, Singapore – The 2011 Formula 1 SingTel Singapore Grand Prix’s music line up has been announced.  It is hard to compare with what we got in Singapore last year with big names such as Adam Lambert, Chris Daughtry or Mariah Carey.  Singapore GP announced that there are still 2 music slots yet to be filled and more will be announced as and when the acts are confirmed.

This year you can expect:

• Linkin Park was the first act to be announced in March this year.

• Charice – Glee starlet and YouTube sensation with a soring 10-decible voice who has performed alongside Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli

• Shaggy – Grammy winning Reggae artiste whose unforgettable deep-throated Mr. “Boombastic”, “It Wasn’t Me” and “Angel”.

• Daddy G & 3D – Experimental trip hop prodigies from Massive Attack.  The Duo, Robert “3D” Del Naja and Grant “Daddy G” Marshall from Bristol, England are considered to be pregenitors of the Trip Hop genre.

Music is one of the 5 areas of the S$5 million entertainment line up that guests at this year’s night race can expect.  The other 4 areas are:
